This gorgeous 1987 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet was originally purchased at the world famous Vasek Porsche dealership here in Hermosa Beach, California and has remained here its entire life. It was manufactured 09/86 and based upon the maintenance records the original owner took delivery of the car in Germany in October, 1986. You can see the "86" Autobahn sticker is still on the windshield. The car appears to have been driven 842 miles in Germany and then serviced at Porsche AG before it was shipped to Vasek Polak Porsche. The car has had three local owners based upon Carfax and the current owner's information. The first owner purchased the car in October of 1986 and appeared to own the car until January, 2000 when the second owner purchased the car. The third and current owner purchased the car June of 2003 and after 18 years of ownership has finally decided to let someone else become the new caretaker.

Exterior:
The original Guards red paint looks great and shines deep. All of the molding and trim are also in excellent shape. The factory 16" Fuch wheels are in great shape with no visible damage. All of the glass is in excellent shape with no imperfections. The factory electric convertible top is in nice shape, with the exception of the rear plastic window showing some discoloration.
Interior:
The interior is in excellent condition.
The dash, seats, door cards, everything is in very nice shape with no signs of wear.
It almost looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. All of the gauges, windows and controls all work as they should. The factory Tonneau cover and convertible boot are included and appear to have never been used. (See photos below) The odometer is in working order showing only 55,815 CarFax verified miles. The original radio was "upgraded" at some point. However, an original Balupunkt could easily be sourced and replaced to retain originality.
Mechanical:
With only 55,815 miles on the clock this car runs and drives great. There have not been any modifications or "improvements" over the years, which is hard to find. The factory Maintenance book documents services up to 38,175 showing a 30K service completed and there are other receipts for regular services. The original tool kit and gloves are still in the Porsche factory bag.
