Thank you for viewing my listing on this great opportunity to own a beautiful 1988 911 Carrera Targa in Marine Blue Metallic.
This G50 equipped 911 includes a staggering amount of receipts and documentation including spare original parts, PCA and car show participation awards.
This color in person is stunning and presents well. This car only driven 3,400 miles average per year has recently been serviced
with a clean bill of health. The next owner will only need to worry about filling the tank of this 3.2 liter flat 6.
The overall condition of this 911 is very good. The paint is quite nice and recently undergoing a recent complete detail that included light paint correction to bring clarity.
The rear spoiler was added years back and color matches very well. The original body labels and vin tags are all in place including the hood and engine lids.
The original glass is all present however the windscreen has been replaced. All of the glass is clean and clear. The 16" Fuchs wheels are gorgeous after having been
completely refinished professionally
with zinc plating on the outer barrels. The targa roof is in great overall condition, trim, fit, and finish is all original.
Front and rear bumpers are in nice shape without major flaws or defects. Normal wear on the front end paint but quite nice for the year and miles.
The h
eadlights, tail lights, fog lights, and side markers
are in good condition and all work correctly. This was a fair weather driver, this car did not see
snow or salted roads.
The interior is in great shape, the factory mats have been preserved in favor of aftermarket Lloyds mats that fit and match near perfect.
An additional set of mats are included.
The factory carpeting is in awesome condition without stains or odors. This was a non smoker non pet vehicle.
Much care was taken to keep up the condition over the years.
The linen color leather upholstery is in good shape with some normal wear from use
but clean and tidy
overall. The dash, door panels, rear seats, steering wheel, and headliner are all in beautiful condition.
This car does not need any parts or missing trim pieces etc, its complete, all there and really nice. The far left fuel level gauge glass has some
de lamination on the glass itself. The gauge functions as it should.
The factory radio was replaced with a Sony CD player.
Mechanically the car is sound. The oil and filters were all recently changed. The brakes and tires have quite a bit of life left and the steering and suspension system is
in good shape throughout. The engine does not smoke or hesitate at startup, while driving or idling, or under acceleration. The g50 gearbox shifts smoothly between the
gears with
great clutch engagement. This car feels solid and planted. It comes up to speed well, steering and braking inspires confidence. This is what a 911 was meant
to be.
The car tracks straight down the road and does not pull. The same can be said for braking. Stops straight without vibration, noise, or issue.
The steering input is direct, no unusual or excessive play in its components.
