    Description

    Circa 1900 Portland, Maine High School Cadet Uniform Coat. There are cadet shoulder straps, not sure exactly what rank it shows.  On the collar are pins with the school's motto (also Portland's city seal)- "Resurgam," as well as crossed rifles 1st reg. Company C.  Inside is the tailor's label, "Jacob Reed's Sons, Inc." and inside the pocket on the maker label, is the ID John Baker." There is no size, but measures 16" armpit to armpit, making it approx. a size 32.
    In very good condition; the stitching on the right shoulder strap needs repair, the strap is a bit loose, some blemishing to the insignia.  There is a loss of stitches along the lower left seam about a 2" long.
