What is Bananas? If you were a kid during the 1970s and 80s, and into reading teen entertainment magazines like Tiger Beat, or Teen Beat you might have also read Bananas, which was published by Scholastic in an attempt to get into the teen magazine arena.
Bananas had colorful covers, articles on the popular celebrities, pin-ups and even centerfold posters. There were humorous articles, comic strips, jokes and more.
The editor was Bob Stine, who would go on to fame as writer R.L. Stein who was famous for his scary book series Goosebumps.
