    Description

    US Rifle Model 1892 Krag Bayonet with Sheath.  Comes with the belt loop attachment too.  Bayonet measures 16-1/4" overall with a blade length of 11-3/4".  Blade and scabbard show smooth scattered brown rust age patina throughout.  Ricasso area of blade is marked, "US/1908 or 3".  Excellent wood grips with round rivets and marked,  Excellent working press-stud ejector.  Scabbard shows no original finish and is bright under the brown/rust patina.   These were used on the Krag .30-40 Rifles in the Spanish American War and the early 1900's prior to WW1.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.  A well made item.
