    U.S. SPAN-AM OCCUPATION ERA U.S.M.C. TAN PITH HELMET
    The helmet is in fine condition with some weakness / looseness to the top and back of the helmet. The interior of the helmet is in very fine condition. There is a patent date of "MAY 2, 1899". The U.S.M.C. insignia is the proper 1900 to 1908 period. When the insignia is removed,  indentations
    are present on the helmet. This helmet was used by the Marine Corps for occupation duty in the Caribbean area and the Philippines. This is a very rare fine displayable helmet.
